Vanik Margaryan joined AM Law Firm upon establishment thereof, having previously
gained professional experience in Defense Law Firm, where he had worked since 2009,
as well as performed expert work at the Law Institute of the Ministry of Justice of the
Republic of Armenia, within the framework of programs organized by the OSCE and the
CoE.
In 2009, he graduated from the Faculty of Law of Yerevan State University, receiving
bachelor’s and master’s degrees. In 2013, he graduated from the RA School of
Advocates, being one of the first graduates of the school and receiving an advocate
license. Since 2015, he has been a licensed mediator, as well as a mediator accredited
by the London Center for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR). Since 2016, he has also
been a patent attorney, specializing in the field of trademarks. He has participated in a
number of professional courses and seminars.
Since 2019, he has been teaching at the RA Academy (school) of Advocates and
conducting training courses for lawyers on procedural documents, alternative dispute
resolution and intellectual property. In 2025, he completed the training of trainers of the
World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Since 2023, Vanik Margaryan has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the
Arbitration and Conciliation Center of Armenia (AMCA) and a member of the Board of
the Association of Arbitrators of the Republic of Armenia, and in 2024 he was elected as
Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of Mediators of the Republic of Armenia.
In the corporate sector, he coordinated the company’s legal services within the
framework of major M&A transactions and legal due diligence of several dozen
companies in the financial and credit, mining, telecommunications and other sectors.
In terms of advocate services, he has handled about two hundred court cases, the
absolute majority of which were finished in favor of the clients of AM law firm or with a
settlement agreement.
He is specialized in the fields of corporate, financial and tax law, litigation, intellectual
property, as well as international law.
