investment approvals pertaining to their obligations under the Board of Investment
Law and other sector-specific legislation. We also assist with the preparation of
formal notices and submissions, and liaise with relevant public officials during
consideration of foreign investment proposals. If required, we act as an
intermediary in negotiations with appropriate government bodies during the
approval process.
The Firm has gained significant experience handling a large number of foreign
investment proposals in the recent years. To cater to the concerns pertaining to
investments, the Firm has in-house and outside network of experts working

Keeping up with the fast-emerging challenges in relation to intellectual property
rights of creators and inventors in today’s technology driven age, the Firm is

clearance, protection and exploitation of IP rights, and coordination as well as
assisting our clients’ IP portfolios in Sri Lanka. We represent clients before the
National Intellectual Property Office (NIPO) in respect of any objections regarding
registration of trademarks and also undertake any litigation to safeguard their IP
interests. We also shoulder and manage IP audits and due diligence exercises.
Apart from the above we undertake specific IP matters in relation to Maldivian
territory.
