KINYUA, MUYAA & CO. Advocates was registered in June, 2010. It is a compact law firm that has taken its rightful place in the private practice of law in Kenya. The firm is based in Mombasa and was set up to provide specialized legal service to its clients here at Mombasa and elsewhere and specializes in the practice of; Admiralty Law (the arrest, release, judicial and other sale of ships), maritime claims; Commercial Law; Conveyancing including security documentation, the incorporation of companies, sales, leases, mortgages, charges, debentures; Company Law litigation such as shareholders’ disputes and takeovers; Intellectual Property Law such as registration of trade marks, trade names, patents; Litigation touching on Constitutional Petitions, References, Employment & Labour Relations Claims, Environment & Land Court related Claims, Administrative Law, Contract Law including Construction Industry contracting and general civil litigation with a bias on corporate work, debt recoveries, insurance claims, claims in tort, procurement procedures, personal law as well as alternative dispute resolution. The firm occasionally takes up Criminal litigation on a case to case basis.

There are two partners at the firm, Mr. F. Kinyua Kamundi and Miss Damaris Muyaa. The firm has one associate at the moment, Mr. Godfrey Muthuri Kinyua.  Mr. Kinyua has practiced law from the year 1993, Miss Muyaa has had an intense practice from the year 2007 and Mr. Muthuri though admitted to the bar in March 2015 has had occasion to participate in the firm’s general legal work and has gathered relevant experience.
