Studio Legale Sarappa was established in 1947 by the late avv. GiovanniAntonio Sarappa who focused his activity on the branches of property law and inheritance law. As from 1981, his daughter, avv. Anna Sarappa, became an associate (currently she is the main partner) of the firm. Anna, on the one side, assisted her father in his sectors, on the other, acquired several specializations in the fields of Family Law, Property Law, and Inheritance law, even with regard to the relationships between Italians and Americans (especially those living in New Jersey and New York), focusing in particular on divorces, separations, successions and the legal protection of property rights.
Nowadays, the “Studio Legale Sarappa” is a professional association between avv. Anna Sarappa and his sons, avv. Vincenzo di Lorenzo Sarappa, who joined the firm in 2011, and avv. Gianpiero di Lorenzo Sarappa, who joined in 2012.
The former, having completed his post-academic education abroad, has acquired expertise in Common Law contracts and cross-border successions and consequently practises his profession within the branches of property law, inheritance law and contract/commercial law. Besides, through practice, he has acquired managerial skills in managing and controlling real estate.
The latter has decided to persist in the sectors in which avv. Anna Sarappa has shaped her reputation, id est Family Law and Property Law. Nevertheless, he has expanded the area of interests that the firm can handle by attending specialist courses in Environmental Law, even with regard to the European legislation. Furthermore, he works closely with his brother in managing real estate.
The three partners of the firm, each with reference to their own specialization, deal with domestic issues mainly, but, due to the good relationships kept in the USA and within the EU borders, the share of international issues handled by “Studio Legale Sarappa” is increasing and growing year per year, especially in the fields of family law, cross-border successions and contract law.
The firm has strengthened its international relationships due to the fact that Vincenzo di Lorenzo Sarappa in 2014 and his brother Gianpiero in 2017 joined the International Association of Young Lawyer (AIJA) which also offers the possibility of attending interesting and outstanding courses in several branches of Law, having a particulars regard to the new trends related to the globalization and AI.
Furthermore, Vincenzo and Gianpiero in January 2018 joined the Academy of European Law (ERA), an association which gives the opportunity to strengthen the network within the EU and acquire knowledge through the courses it offers.
