I am an American who purchased a car in Italy; my Italian boyfriend registered the car in his name so that it could be insured and driven (by me). I am now trying to export the car, but he will not release the title and is threatening to sell the car unless I give him money. I need help resolving the matter. I have emails in which he acknowledges that the car is mine and proof that I paid for it. There are also witnesses who can corroborate. I only have 10 days before he threatens to sell it. Please help and thank you.

Salve, dovrà raccogliere il suo titolo e la sua email e, successivamente, avviare un’azione civile chiedendo un provvedimento cautelare urgente per il sequestro dell’auto, affinché non possa essere venduta.
Ottenuto il sequestro preventivo, che nel frattempo immobilizzerà il veicolo, sarà possibile chiedere al giudice competente di dichiarare che l’auto appartiene effettivamente a lei.
