The process

Each case is unique and therefore the length of the process varies in each individual case. Obtaining the necessary data can be time consuming.

All cases have one thing in common, however, that it is best to report them to the insurance company as soon as possible, so that the possible right to compensation does not expire, and to start collecting the necessary data. The sooner you contact us, the sooner we can get your case on track.

Fortis lawyers take care of data collection and communication with the insurance companies, as well as collection of your medical expenses and loss of income due to the consequences of the accident, if applicable.
Once all the data is available, we will assess the consequences of the accident. A compensation claim is then made to the insurance company in accordance with the result of the assessment.

In general, it is only possible to assess the consequences when a year has passed since the accident. However, there may be exceptions, for example if you have had to undergo an operation or are undergoing rehabilitation.

We will review the case with you before settling with the insurance company. If an agreement cannot be reached on a settlement, Fortis' lawyers will take care of legal proceedings.
