What are my options for pursuing a breach of contract claim against a supplier who failed to deliver a large order?

My business relied on a signed contract with a supplier who did not ship the goods and won’t issue a refund. I’m considering filing a lawsuit or pursuing mediation to recover losses. How long do these processes take and what kind of costs and evidence would I need to prepare?

The first step is to submit a warning letter (summary) in three stages. If there is no response, we need to file a civil lawsuit (breach of contract) through the local District Court or the court agreed upon in the contract. The warning letter (summary) process takes 3 x 7 days = 21 days. If filing a civil lawsuit through the local District Court, it takes approximately 6 (six) months. The attorney's fee for filing a warning letter (summary) is 30 million rupiah, and the attorney's fee for filing a civil lawsuit (breach of contract) is 70 million rupiah. The evidence you must prepare is the contract you have agreed to with the supplier. If you are willing, please contact us through Lawzana. Thank you.
