In January 1968, CHONG BROTHERS ADVOCATES was founded by two brothers, the late Tan Sri Datuk Amar Chong Siew Fai and Mr Chong Siew Chiang.
The Chong brothers helmed the firm from January 1968 until January 1980 when Tan Sri Datuk Amar Chong Siew Fai took up his appointment as a High Court Judge on 1 February 1980. Tan Sri Datuk Amar Chong Siew Fai was then elevated to the Federal Court in 1994 and shortly after, appointed as the Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak in 1995 before retiring in 2000. Thereafter, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Chong Siew Fai re-joined the firm as a consultant until his demise on 23 January 2006.
Today, Chong Brothers Advocates continues its illustrious history of excellence, offering a wide range of legal services under the leadership of founding partner Mr Chong Siew Chiang and Ms Grace Tan Hui Poh together with a team of dedicated and passionate lawyers with diverse range of expertise and specialisations.
