Employment law

Most companies and employees will at some point experience employment law issues. The rules are extensive, complicated and are changed regularly, just as decisions are frequently made in the area that have significance in future cases. It is therefore often difficult for companies and employees to navigate within employment law.

We advise, among other things on the drafting of employment contracts, bonus, share option and other incentive schemes, competition and customer clauses, holiday rules, director contracts, postings and postings, changes to terms of employment and maternity rules. We also prepare e.g. personnel handbooks and personnel policy for companies.

In disputes between employers and employees, we advise, among other things. on equal treatment, discrimination, warnings, terminations, dismissals, expulsions, suspensions and resignation agreements. We also conduct legal proceedings on behalf of both employers and employees at the courts, the Labor Court and the special labor law boards.

A number of large international companies, including Unibet, Betty Barclay and Mango, have entrusted us to solve their employment law issues in Denmark.

Real estate and construction

The property industry has emerged from several years of crisis. The transaction level is high, the housing market is flourishing, and projects are being developed in the cities as well as the rural municipalities.

Our Real Estate and Construction Department provides advice and litigates on virtually all real estate and construction matters.

We regularly publish books and articles about real estate. We are regular writers in Berlingske Tidende and on boligsiden.dk, where we give readers an insight into questions about real estate.

We teach at the Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen in the subject of real estate turnover, and we teach the continuing education for, among other things, lawyers and real estate agents.

Debt collection

We have assisted authorities, organisations, banks, utility companies and other large companies with debt recovery since 1982. Our customers include the largest Danish players in, among other things, the energy sector, the property industry and the rights holder organisations.  

We work to create value for our customers through constant optimization of the recovery processes, workflows, standardization of processes, IT systems and use of new technology. Our customers have, among other things, online access to own cases via our web portal, so status and balance information are always available.

Our case management takes place in each individual case in accordance with the lawyer's ethical rules and applicable legislation, including personal data legislation. Orderliness in our case handling and contact with the outside world is a central guideline in our work.

Intellectual property rights

The intellectual property rights are many companies' most important and most valuable assets. Unique ideas, designs and brands deserve to be protected from competitors' copying and unauthorized use. The rules in this area are comprehensive, complicated and internationalised. This requires the lawyer to be a specialist.

We advise companies, entrepreneurs and other players on e.g. trademarks, domain names, utility models, company names, designs, IP contracts and infringement cases.

We have been lawyers for Koda for more than 30 years.

We have led a number of principled legal cases within intellectual property law for, among others, Koda, Copydan, Sony and LM Ericsson.

In 2013, we won a client award for our work for Sony in combating product piracy and trademark counterfeiting (anti-counterfeit work).
