Founded in 1951, Lau Chan & Ko was originally known as Tso & Hodgson.

Being one of the most established and progressive law firms in Hong Kong, we enjoy a rich history since the early years of Hong Kong’s development as a leading international financial centre. Over the years, Lau, Chan & Ko has built up an extensive network of clients and connections comprising property developers, public bodies, government agencies, enterprises, banks, financial institutions and individuals. For our long standing in Hong Kong, our firm has been instructed by various developers to advise and deal with project conveyancing, redevelopment of tenanted properties and development of small houses in New Territories. Our firm has also been chosen by over 40 well-known banks and financial institutions and lenders to handle property-related cases including mortgage transactions, project finance and sale and purchase of properties in HK and PRC. Lau, Chan & Ko is also one of the appointed solicitors for the Government of HKSAR to deal with the sale and purchase of properties under various housing schemes. These all make our Property and Conveyancing Department one of the strongest departments of the firm.
