CEFROHT (CENTER FOR FOOD AND ADEQUATE LIVING RIGHTS)

The Center for Food and Adequate Living Rights (CEFROHT) is a Ugandan not-for-profit legal advocacy and action-research organization dedicated to promoting social justice in food systems and health. Established in 2018, CEFROHT employs a human rights-based approach to advance the right to adequate food and health through strategic litigation, legal and policy advocacy, and community empowerment. The organization focuses on areas such as nutrition and human development rights, food safety and security, women's food and reproductive health rights, public health and well-being rights, and the impact of trade and investment laws on food rights and health.

CEFROHT has built a strong reputation for its commitment to legal empowerment and social accountability. The organization has successfully implemented programs that enhance sustainable access to justice for adequate living rights in rural communities, working closely with local leaders, judicial officers, and community advocacy groups.
