Vilnius University Faculty of Law is the law faculty of Vilnius University, established by royal privilege on October 11, 1641. The faculty combines a long legal tradition with contemporary academic structures, hosting degree programmes, doctoral studies, international summer schools and specialised centres of foreign law. It publishes peer-reviewed legal scholarship and maintains partnerships that support comparative and transnational legal research.
The faculty concentrates research and teaching capacity in areas such as private law, criminal justice, public and international law, human rights, and the legal implications of technological change and sustainability.
