Hammond & Associates can trace its origins back to 1990 when Nicholas Hammond became the first foreign lawyer to open an office in Romania after January 1990.

The senior lawyers of the firm have many years of combined legal experience in Romania and the United Kingdom which has been gained by involvement in transactions of all sizes and nature both in the private and public sector.  The Firm deals with commercial law including M&A, employment, and corporate matters.  The Firm also handles all levels of litigation in all Romanian courts.  The Firms lawyers are often required to give written legal opinions on Romanian law and practise for use in English courts
