M&M Global Law Consultants (M&M Global), a legal practice of attorneys and consultants, was registered on 12th September, 2007. It was established to offer litigation, advisory and consulting services in corporate and commercial law related matters. The Firm commenced its operations in March 2008 with a professional team of two lawyers which has since grown to SIX lawyers and TWO legal research assistants and remains one of the leading and biggest legal firms in Malawi. At the moment, as per the 2016 Gazetted and published list of licenced legal practitioners in Malawi, M&M Global has more licensed legal practitioners than any other legal Firm in Malawi.
The Firm’s Head Office is housed in Global House at Kristwick, along the Masauko- Chipembere Highway, in the heart of Blantyre. The Head Office is in the vicinity of the Malawi Communication Regulatory Authority, Malawi Stock Exchange; the headquarters of major commercial banks in Malawi; the Department of the Registrar General; the Department of Administrator General, the Blantyre Lands Registry; the Malawi Revenue Authority, the Malawi Law Society Legal Resource Centre; Supreme Court of Appeal and the High Court and Blantyre Magistrate’s Courts, to mention a few.
The Firm also has a branch office in Lilongwe which is on the 1st Floor of Development House - West wing, in the heart of Lilongwe’s City Centre.
The offices have modern and functional office equipment, including a conference/boardroom, internet access, facsimile, photocopying, binding and scanning machines. The Head Office and the Branch Offices are all connected online with a tailor made software to keep track of the matters that we are handling at our offices. This acts as an internal quality control measure for monitoring matters and also increases transparency with the Client.

The firm has drafted charges, cautions, bills of sale, sale agreements, contracts, transfer of property instruments, share holders agreements, share transfer instruments, wills, among others. We have developed memoranda of understanding for various clients. Some of the memoranda included the Malawi Government as a signatory. Details can be provided upon request and with the written consent of the client.
The firm has successfully drafted the registration instruments for companies limited by shares, companies limited by guarantee, trusts, partnerships and non-governmental organisations.
The firm has, in conjunction with other consultants, reviewed the High Court (Commercial Division) Rules 2007, High Court (Commercial Division) (Mandatory Mediation) Rules 2007 and audit of commercial matters in the general division of the High Court of Malawi.
In addition, the Firm has been engaged in litigation of diverse labour disputes before the Industrial Relations Court.
The Firm formulated and drafted, together with three other consultants, the Draft National Intellectual Property Policy for Malawi.
We have also attended to various applications and registrations for trademarks.
We have handled insurance claims both for and against insurers. Currently, we are the lead Practice servicing Reunion Insurance Company Limited.
