The roots of the law can be traced back to 1969, when Ragnar Aðalsteinsson founded his law firm. The co-owners of Ragnar í Rétti are Sigurður Örn Hilmarsson, Sigrún Ingibjörg Gísladóttir, Védís Eva Guðmundsdóttir and Kári Hólmar Ragnarsson. Ever since the institution was founded, emphasis has been placed on the advancement of the law with the ideal of human dignity as a guiding light, and the Law thus provides people and associations with comprehensive services in the pursuit and defense of their rights. The ideological basis of the Law is unchanged from Ragnar Aðalsteinsson's early days as an independent lawyer, i.e. that the lawyer plays a role both as a servant and protector of the law, not least in terms of

advocacy for the public against special interests, large corporations and the government. The firm's lawyers have a lot of experience in litigation and have worked on complex cases in many areas of law. They have specialization in the field of human rights, copyright, constitutional law, property law, tort law, competition law, claims and contract law and legal procedure. The right takes care of extensive advocacy for its clients and advises them on their legal rights, as well as pursuing or defending them through negotiations when they are able, and litigation in court when necessary.

The owners of the salon share the ideal that it is the fundamental right of all people to be equal before the law and to have access to quality services in order to know their statutory rights and stand up for them. Right provides professional and quality advice in most areas of law. The agency assists both domestic and foreign companies, individuals, associations, non-profit organizations, institutions and municipalities.
