There is no fast lane in severing a marital bond in the Philippines considering that we still do not have divorce in our country. The only way to sever your marital bond is to file for a declaration of nullity of marriage or annulment in court depending on the circumstances of your marriage.
Legal Separation does not cut your marital bond. You will only be separated in bed and board but you are still married to each other and you will still not be able to remarry nor are you allowed to have a romantic relationship with someone else other than your husband.
