DSC Attorneys

Our history

DSC Attorneys (De Vries Shields Chiat Incorporated) came into being in May 2004 when three firms, each with a long history in the field of personal injury law, merged.

The firms that combined their resources and extensive experience to create DSC Attorneys included:

• De Vries (Cape Town) Inc, which was established in 1999 as the Cape Town branch of De Vries Inc of Sandton and specialised in personal injury law and property law
• Mostert & Bosman, which was founded more than 100 years ago; its Cape Town partnership specialised in personal injury law and conveyancing
• Henry Shields Chiat (HSC), a highly respected personal injury law firm in the Western Cape; the latest volume of Corbett & Honey, the Quantum of Damages (widely used by personal injury practitioners) contains numerous cases handled by HSC that made law.
