YARD Law Co. is a boutique law firm based in central Sofia, Bulgaria, advising international clients on doing business, investing, and living in Bulgaria. The firm was founded in 2020, and its lawyers are registered with the Sofia Bar Association, bringing over ten years of experience in corporate, commercial, and cross-border matters.

We work primarily with foreign founders, investors, and private clients who need Bulgarian legal work handled in English. Our core areas are company formation and corporate law, crypto and blockchain regulation including MiCA and CASP licensing, real estate acquisition and due diligence, residency and immigration, commercial contracts, tax, employment, and dispute resolution before the Bulgarian courts.

Much of our practice involves matters that arrive together: setting up a Bulgarian company, buying property, securing residence, and structuring the tax position that follows. Coordinatingthose areas early is usually what prevents the complications we see when clients come to us late.

Most matters can be handled remotely under a power of attorney, so clients based abroad rarely need to travel. Where a personal appearance is required, our office on Vitosha Blvd. in central Sofia is available for meetings, and we attend notaries, banks, and the Commercial Register on our clients' behalf.

We also advise Bulgarian companies on the corporate changes required by Bulgaria's adoption of the euro, including redenomination of share capital and amendment of constitutional documents.

Clients are served in English and Bulgarian, and we publish legal guidance in German, French, Spanish, and Russian. Every matter is handled by a licensed Bulgarian attorney, and clients deal directly with the lawyer responsible for their file.
