The UN Security Council has strongly condemned Rwanda's support for the M23 rebel group operating in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. The Council demanded an immediate cessation of hostilities by M23, their withdrawal from occupied territories, and the dismantling of any parallel administrations they've established.

Furthermore, the council directly called on Rwanda to cease its backing of the armed group and urged both nations to re-engage in diplomatic dialogue to achieve a peaceful resolution to the conflict, emphasizing the need for a lasting political solution.
