OUR HISTORY
Kapas Invest ApS was originally founded in 1993 by lawyers Erik Aagaard Poulsen and Jørgen Bernth Krølner. This gave rise to the name Kapas, which is a contraction of their surnames. After Jørgen Krølner's exit from the company Kapas Invest ApS, Erik Aagaard Poulsen and the new partner Lars Kyhl Nielsen founded the company Advokaterne i Jyllandsgården A/S in 2001, which is also the name the company bears today.
However, Kapas is still used as the company's domain and email, in order to protect the long-standing history.
About Jyllandsgården
In the most central part of Aarhus, located by Arne Jacobsen's famous town hall, the riding house and ARoS, you will find one of Aarhus' historic buildings: Jyllandsgården. The characteristic red stone building with large, white barred windows was built shortly after the First World War, and since then the place first served for approximately 50 years as the headquarters of Jyllands-Posten and subsequently as the home of several discos and music venues. Today, the property houses a dental clinic, a lawyer's house and some exclusive condominiums.
Jyllandsgården's turbulent past can already be seen when you step through the heavy wooden doors into the farm itself. On the beautiful wooden panels hang newspaper extracts from tone-setting and fateful events, as they were printed in Jyllands-Posten. The remains of the nightlife, where such prominent and world-renowned names as Pink Floyd have performed - the concert itself was a disaster, but reportedly made for an unforgettable memory - are long gone.
City children will also have visited Jyllandsgården in the early 1980s, when Motown opened the doors to the rock music of the time. After that, Diskotek Alexis took over, before the closing of David Crocket in 1996 ended an era in Aarhus' common consciousness.
