Khalid Mohammadi, an accomplished corporate lawyer and Managing Partner at A.K.Wajiha, brings extensive corporate and commercial expertise to his role. Formerly the Legal Director General of the Central Bank of Afghanistan and the Director of Trade and Transit Agreements at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. As a Senior Associate Attorney at a private law firm for nearly four years, he focused on banking, telecommunications, business registration, share transfer, business dissolution, and drafting joint venture agreements. As a licensed attorney, he effectively represented significant international clients in Afghan courts.
With a bachelor's degree in Law and Political Science from Kabul University, Mr. Mohammadi showcased his commitment to legal excellence through participation in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition. His multifaceted background, blending public service, private practice, and dedication to legal education, underscores his valuable contribution as Managing Partner at A.K.Wajiha.
Ahmad Yama Bassam, an international development financial expert and entrepreneur, holds a Master's from Harvard and a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He successfully completed the examination FINRA Series 7, 66, 34, and 32 exams.
He founded True Colors Investing, a pioneer in socially responsible online trading platforms, and served as CEO until its acquisition of ThreePoint Capital Group, LLC. Later, he joined Moore Global (formerly AHG), advising multinational corporations and governments on accounting, taxation, finance, and economic development, backed by USAID and other global aid agencies. He also advised DFID and the World Bank on the modernization of financial and banking sectors in Central Asia.
Before founding A.Y.Bassam & Co. LLP, and IDPS, he conducted a study funded by the Asian Development Bank to strengthen an Asian nation's financial markets sector. Currently, he offers global advisory services on taxes, accounting, and finance. Additionally, he volunteers as the CFO at Co-Caring, a non-profit dedicated to community-driven initiatives.
