Our History
Graduated from the School of Law of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Juan Martin Allende and Teodosio Cesar Brea, went to study law abroad in the U.S. in 1948 and 1952 respectively. They worked in the same American law firm without meeting each other. In 1957, an American lawyer coming from the same firm and university as them visited Buenos Aires and invited them over for dinner. Allende and Brea got in tune immediately and, back from dinner, continued their conversation. At the end of the meeting they agreed to work together in a new law firm.
Both Allende and Brea had very clear principles from the start: selling legal services, not undue influence, a strong professional commitment to work and trust in young people and use of technology for the legal profession. All their lawyers had studied abroad LLMs or masters in law, aligned with the idea of specializing on foreign investment and international practice. It was the first firm in Buenos Aires to follow the model of U.S. law firms.
We have specialists in different industries and all branches of law, who provide our clients with practical, economically viable and creative solutions. Our lawyers had completed their academic and professional training studying and working in the United States and in Europe. This gives us not only a special sense of belonging and aptitude for teamwork, but also the necessary training to function in a globalized world. All -without exception- are imbued with a culture of total commitment to the client, with no limits other than those imposed by ethics. In turn, we have strong collaboration ties with legal studies in the interior, which allows us to provide a complete service in different parts of our country.
