Practice areas
Business

I work with other national and regional law firms around the country in connection with complex finance transactions.
We manage and deliver commercial advice across the full spectrum of tax issues including:
- All types of taxes, cross-border tax matters, including investment structures, the tax treatment of avoiding double taxation, ongoing tax planning for multinational companies and individuals;
- Tax structures for tax-exempt and tax-advantaged transactions;
- Tax return preparation and tax planning for businesses operating in Georgia;
- Friendly tax regimes as well as free industrial zones;
- Advising business entities and individuals on practice of tax authority and obtaining advance tax decision of the Revenue Service of Georgia on behalf of the clients;
- Becoming tax resident of Georgia without physically being in Georgia
I provide legal services for companies and investor for years. I know how businesses work and understand the interplay of finance, marketing, legal and sales.
I provide profound advice and counsel to entrepreneurs and established corporations facing a wide range of challenges, including:
- Business formation– The way in which your business is formed will determine the personal liability of the founders, how taxes are paid, and other important details. The good example is the small business status which gives opportunity to the Georgian tax payers to enjoy tax exception (pay 1% tax), however, only those ones can apply for obtaining this status who are registered as Individual Entrepreneurs. Therefore, you must be advised by the professional and then make a decision on choosing form of business.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts– contracts as not only an opportunity to grow and develop business, but also as a means to minimizing potential liability. I negotiate and draft contracts to protect our clients’ business and financial interests.
- Due diligence and asset acquisitions –We represent clients during every stage of the asset acquisition process. I do due diligence when investigating financial records, examine existing contracts and evaluate potential liabilities to ensure clients’ financial interests and corporate goodwill are protected long term. Finally, I draft contract and support clients to obtain assets at any company in Georgia.
Real Estate
The laws involving real estate in Georgia are complex. I am focused on representing clients in real estate –related litigation and in landlord-tenant litigation. I also negotiate and draft lease/purchase agreements on behalf of clients. I routinely represent both landlords and tenants, buyers and sellers, in negotiations and proceedings in Georgia.
Unfortunately, real estate is an area which is prone to litigation. Consequently, you should be watchful with deals relating to the Real estate to avoid additional losses, financial damage, and long-term court proceedings.
