CDA, Centrul de Drept al Avocaților - Law Center of Advocates

Centrul de Drept al Avocaților (CDA) is a non-political, non-profit association established in 1997 in the Republic of Moldova. The organization is dedicated to promoting and protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of asylum seekers, refugees, individuals with humanitarian protection, stateless persons, and other vulnerable foreign nationals. Through comprehensive legal assistance, training, monitoring, and advocacy, CDA addresses issues related to migration, asylum, statelessness, and the integration of foreigners from a human rights perspective.

Over the years, CDA has built a strong reputation for its unwavering commitment to supporting displaced individuals. In 2024 alone, the organization provided legal counseling and assistance to over 24,300 unique beneficiaries, including approximately 4,000 children and their caregivers. This extensive outreach underscores CDA's pivotal role in offering essential legal services to those in need. The organization's longstanding partnership with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) since 1998 further attests to its credibility and effectiveness in the field.

At the core of CDA's client service approach is a deep understanding of the challenges faced by refugees and stateless individuals. The organization emphasizes personalized legal support, ensuring that each beneficiary receives tailored assistance to navigate complex legal landscapes. By collaborating with national institutions and international bodies, CDA not only provides immediate legal aid but also works towards systemic improvements in the protection and integration of vulnerable populations within Moldovan society.
