The Court Administration Division (CAD) of Jamaica, established in August 2009, serves as the administrative arm of the nation's judiciary. Operating under the leadership of the Director of Court Administration, who holds accounting officer status and reports directly to the Chief Justice, the CAD is tasked with a comprehensive range of court-related administrative services. These include finance and accounts, human resource management and administration, information communication technology services, customer and client services, property management and maintenance, and internal audit functions. This structure ensures that the judiciary maintains greater input in budgetary decisions and the execution of activities surrounding court operations.

Committed to fostering a world-class judiciary, the CAD emphasizes innovation and technology to enhance service delivery. Its mission is to provide sound, timely judgments and efficient court services in an environment where all stakeholders are valued. Core values such as fairness, accountability, impartiality, integrity, independence, innovation, respect, commitment, communication, courtesy, accessibility, responsiveness, and empathy guide the division's operations, reflecting its dedication to upholding the rule of law and maintaining the highest ethical standards.

In recent years, the CAD has made significant strides in modernizing Jamaica's court system. Notably, in March 2024, the division received over JMD$30 million worth of equipment, including laptops and stenography machines, through the Social Justice Project implemented by the United Nations Development Programme and funded by Global Affairs Canada. This investment aims to improve service delivery by strengthening institutional capacity for accurate and timely capture of court proceedings. Additionally, the CAD has been instrumental in implementing remote hearings and direct deposit systems for maintenance payments, ensuring the continuity and efficiency of court services amidst evolving challenges.
