Foreigners' law is the branch of law that consists of the legislation that a state or country applies to foreign nationals coming to that country. The Law No. 6458 on Foreigners and International Protection primarily regulates the law on foreigners.

Our country is a country where more and more foreign citizens live, work or reside, especially due to the current developments in the geography in which it is located in a narrow sense and in the world in a broad sense. The increase in the number of foreigners also means an increase in legal problems related to foreigners. For foreigners, how they can exercise their rights in a country where they are not citizens is a matter of concern. The laws in Turkey aim to protect the rights of foreigners and prevent them from being victimized. 

One of the most common legal procedures that foreigners face is residence and work permits. In order to obtain a residence permit and work permit, foreigners must fulfill certain conditions. Apart from this, foreigners' interest in real estate in Turkey has increased in recent years. There are some legal procedures that foreigners need to do differently from the citizens of the Republic of Turkey when buying real estate. It is also possible for foreigners to obtain citizenship from the Republic of Turkey provided that they meet certain conditions.  At the same time, the number of foreign investors in our country is increasing day by day. Foreigners who see economic opportunities in Turkey want to start a business by using their capital here. “Consumer Law”, which has become popular with the extraordinary increase in consumer culture, is a type of law that protects the economic, health and safety of consumers and compensates their damages. This branch of law includes the procedures applied in cases where damaged, defective goods and services cannot be reconciled between the seller and the consumer.

Consumer law is quite comprehensive and regulated according to the Consumer Law. In case of defective and damaged goods or services, this law is applied if the seller and the consumer are reconciled. In recent years, it is seen that consumers and sellers have applied to consumer law due to the increase in consumption.

In our country, the Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection has entered into force and the Law No. 6502 is still applied in disputes. Pursuant to Law No. 6502, consumer law is to take measures to protect the health and safety and economic interests of the consumer, to compensate the damages, to protect the consumer from environmental hazards, to take measures to enlighten and raise awareness of the consumer, to encourage consumers to take initiatives to protect themselves and to encourage voluntary organizations in the establishment of policies on these issues.
