The Firm was founded in 1976 by John van Lingen. In 1985 he was joined by his stepson Daryl Francois, the present Proprietor of the Firm. In 1988 they were joined by John’s wife and Daryl’s mother, Moira Medalie, who until 2010 was a Partner in the Firm and still consults to the Firm. From humble beginnings of a sole practitioner with 2 (Two) employees, the Firm has now grown to 3 (Three) Attorneys with 10 (Ten employees). Having started off as a small family concern we still endeavor to maintain the loyalty and values of a family unit, and this extends to our Clients, whom we consider as members of our extended family. While our Client base has grown substantially to include National, and even International, Corporate entities we still provide legal services to small concerns and individuals, some of whom have been our Clients since the inception of the Firm.
