Tania Furler BEd LLB (Hons) GDLP
Tania Furler is the Principal Solicitor of Furler & Co Barristers and Solicitors. Tania graduated with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Adelaide. She is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia and the High Court of Australia.
Tania commenced her legal career in rural South Australia where she worked predominantly in Family Law, Criminal Law, Wills and Estates and Conveyancing. Tania relocated to a prominent legal firm in Adelaide CBD where she gained a wealth of experience appearing in the Magistrates Court of South Australia, District Court of South Australia, Federal Circuit Court of Australia, Family Court of Australia and the Youth Court, on a daily basis.
Tania works alongside a number of senior members of the profession who continue to be influential in her practise of the law.
Prior to her career in the law, Tania was a primary school teacher, which gave her great insight into the importance of family and the need to ensure the best interests of children are the paramount consideration in family law matters. This insight gives Tania a strong sense of the impact that family law matters have on family relationships. Tania strives to manage family law matters and all matters, efficiently, and where possible, amicably.
Tania is experienced in managing property settlement matters from minor property asset pools through to complex property matters involving companies, family trusts, investment properties and self-managed superannuation funds.
Having extensive experience in Criminal Law, Tania represents clients who have been charged with criminal and traffic offences ranging from summary offences through to major indictable offences. Being an understanding and approachable solicitor, Tania recognises the stress that her clients experience when they are faced with a criminal or traffic law matter. Tania acts as a strong advocate to protect the rights of her clients.
Wills, Estate Planning and Administration is an area of the law that Tania is very passionate about. She is highly competent at assisting her clients to effectively plan their estate matters, from the simple estates to more complex matters involving trusts, companies and blended families. Tania also assists clients with the administration of deceased estates and understands that this process generally takes place during a difficult time for her clients, therefore she aims to make the process as efficient and stress-free as possible.
Tania manages all types of South Australian conveyancing property transactions. Buying or selling a home or business is often one of the most important transactions clients enter into in their lifetime, therefore Tania ensures that her clients are kept informed at every step of the conveyancing process.
On a personal level, Tania is the mother of three children, Landen, Dorothy and Eleanor. She enjoys spending time with her young family, going for beach runs and enjoying the fine food and wine the Clare Valley has to offer.
