Peter Gabriel is the founder and managing director of Gabriel Law Corporation. With 30 years of experience under his belt, he has undertaken extensive litigation as well as transactional related work – his specialized knowledge in each domain mutually enhances his understanding of the other.
Litigation involving banking and finance disputes, commercial and corporate disputes, investigations and asset recovery, tort and contractual claims as well as domestic and international arbitration form the pillars of Mr. Gabriel's expertise.
His transactional legal work involves banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and admiralty related matters.
The scope of his work is both domestic and international. He has undertaken a significant amount of complex commercial litigation and arbitration work in Singapore, India, United Kingdom, Serbia, Switzerland and the Bahamas. In relation to transactional matters, his work spans Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia, Panama and China.
In addition to providing counsel to clients, Mr Gabriel has sits as a Regional Arbitrator at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.
Mr. Gabriel maintains an active interest in academic pursuits, having published a book, Legal Aspects of Syndicated Loans, Butterworths (UK). He recently authored an article entitled, "Burden of Proof and Standard of Proof in Civil Litigation", that was published in the Singapore Academy of Law Journal. Mr. Gabriel lectured for the Postgraduate Practical Course in Law (PLC) - a prerequisite course for trainee lawyers in Singapore before they are awarded their practising certificates. He has also worked as a law lecturer in Australian National University (ANU).
Mr Manoj was called to the UK Bar in 1996 and to the Singapore Bar in 1998.
His current practise comprises of both civil and criminal litigation. Additionally Manoj acts as Counsel in International Arbitration matters. The areas he specializes in include:-

I. Acting for foreign governments in various domestic disputes for the protection of their nationals and commercial entities.
In previous years, he acted in various corporate matters and property transactions that included the transfer of more than S$1.2 billion.
Currently, he is involved in a criminal suit that has become one of Singapore’s longest trials. This bears testament to the resilience required in the face of robust litigation.
Mr. Manoj enjoys leading a vibrant team of lawyers and seeks sensible solutions with a cost effective approach for his clients.
Beyond his professional life, he serves as counsel and committee member to a local charity affiliated with his church. Additionally he serves as a community leader appointed by his member of parliament. He has also been a legal advisor to an 80-year-old educational institution.
Mr. Manoj is humbled by and enthralled at the trust deposed upon him by many long time and faithful clients that forms part of his immediate client community. This has forged long term relationships as a result and is the cornerstone of a dynamic professional life.
Mr. Manoj believes that law is a calling and not a mere business. These ideals are reflected in his daily work as he strives to bring value to his clients for maximum results using fair billing practices and not being chained by the billable hour concept.
Manoj is Lead Counsel in assigned cases for those facing capital punishment. In 2012 he was greatly honored when he was conferred the LASCO Award (Legal Assistance Scheme for Capital Offences) by the Chief Justice in recognition of his work in defending those facing capital punishment.
Joel graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws in 2012 and was admitted to the Singapore Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Republic of Singapore in February 2014.
Joel’s early years in practice had been centred on construction and property law. He has represented developers, architects and contractors in a diverse range of matters that have come before adjudicators under the Building and Construction Security of Payments Act, the Strata Titles Board, arbitrators under the Singapore Institute of Architects, and also the Supreme Court. While Joel maintains a penchant for building and construction law, his practice has since diversified, and represents clients in a wide range of commercial matters, both contentious and non-contentious.
Aside from law, Joel maintains a keen interest in international affairs, and had spent time serving as a Foreign Service Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Outside of work, Joel enjoys both the physicality of American Football and the theatricality and geekiness of table top role playing games.
Perveen graduated with an LLM in International Commercial Law from University College London (UCL) and First Class Honors from Murdoch University. She was admitted to the Singapore Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Republic of Singapore in 2019.
Perveen’s practice areas include a broad range of complex arbitration, corporate and commercial litigation matters. She has represented institutional investment funds and borrowers in a wide range of complex, sensitive and high value cross-border financing transactions. She has a wide range of experience in working with corporate cross border clients.
She successfully represented an institutional investment fund in setting side an arbitral award. She has also been involved in advisory work reviewing various commercial contracts including share sale and purchase agreements.
Outside of practice, Perveen shares a keen interest in helping individuals from less privileged backgrounds. She enjoys activities such as karting and coasteering.
Nicolette graduated from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom in 2014 with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) 2nd Upper Division and was admitted to the Singapore Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Republic of Singapore in August 2017.
Nicolette was trained at one of the largest law firms in Singapore under their dispute resolution practice, and has had exposure to corporate work at a top international law firm. She has further had exposure to a wide spectrum of civil and commercial litigation matters, including matters involving international aspects and foreign law considerations. She has represented large corporations, developers, high net worth individuals and other commercial parties before the Singapore Courts and in international arbitration. Nicolette’s practice includes contentious and non-contentious matters.
Outside of work, Nicolette is a keen cyclist, and has won or made the podium in races since picking up the sport in late-2017. She is an active member in local cycling circles, and has taken part in community development and charitable events through this sport.
