Our History
Launched in 1974, Glaisyers Solicitors opened in Manchester. Over the years the team grew and the services offered to clients expanded. In 1993 the firm became Glaisyers Glickman after a merger with Glickman Goldstone. Over the next couple of years the firm evolved and a number of partners retired – returning to the name Glaisyers in 1997. In 2013 Glaisyers merged with another notable Manchester firm, FDL – again expanding the firm’s services. December of 2018 saw a management change, welcoming David Jones and Dave Marlor. At the same time the firm joined the international professional services network, ETL Global.

Lawsuits & Disputes
Providing your business with the means to litigate effectively.
Business disputes are inevitable, stressful and an unwanted distraction. When they arise you need to get ahead of them and seek clear and proactive advice.
We work together with you to probe the merits of your case, explore practical solutions to the dispute and then, if required, advise you on which method of dispute resolution is most appropriate for you. The key to our success is identifying the quickest, most effective solution to your business’s dispute.
Where litigation cannot be avoided, we pursue your case with determination, efficiency and with your best interests at the forefront of our actions.
We also understand the need for transparency and early indications of costs. We have a nationally renowned specialist Costs department which we work with to provide strategic costs planning, risk-assessment, selective use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) techniques and careful cost budgeting as appropriate.
Real Estate
We aim to differentiate our service offering by the bespoke nature of our services.
Some clients prefer full partner involvement from beginning to end. Some prefer partners who provide the key input into the matter and are happy to deal with our more junior colleagues on a day to day basis. For some clients they need more support as they have little experience in this area. Others require more strategic advice and some just need to document the deal.
We act for clients both small and large – having the strength and breadth of experience to deal with very large and complex transactions. Our clients are all over the country and increasingly we act for international clients who are venturing into or expanding their UK commercial property portfolio.
Our team has worked on transactions in every sector of the market including hotels and leisure; housing; offices; factories; retail; student and education; key worker accommodation; and green energy projects.
Family
By providing support and guidance you can make it through this stressful, traumatic, period in your life.
Whether you are in the early stages of your relationship and want to have a clear financial agreement, or if your relationship is breaking down we are here to help.
We’ll deal with all the awkward parts of the dispute, including dealing with the other party and working towards a settlement. That way, you can rest assured that you’re doing everything you can to resolve the disagreement as simply as possible
Throughout your case, our solicitors will provide you with legal advice that is easy to understand so you can make informed decisions that you’re confident in.
