Will and Estate
We provide services relating to the drafting of a will, getting it attested by the Notary and execution of the same by filing inheritance petition and representing the beneficiaries in the Dubai Court.
Will is a means to create, register and preserve assets for your family and ensure you feel reassured that all of your affairs are in order. Wills cover movable assets (cash, investments, cars, personal items, etc) and immovable assets (property). If there are minor children, the issue of their permanent guardian can also be determined by way of a will (for non-Muslim only)
To start with, the person making a Will should have readily available updated details of:
- Assets in the UAE (with proof of ownership)
- Liabilities, and to whom they are to be paid
- Proof of residence through, for example, recent utility bills
- Passport copies of the entire family
- Other official documents such as marriage certificates etc.
Once prepared, Wills need to be:
- translated into Arabic,
- attested by the Dubai Courts or Notary, and
- attested by the concerned Consulate.
