

Kerveshi & Partners Law Firm is established in Pristina, Kosovo. The firm is devoted to providing excellence and expertise in legal services to international and local businesses. The firm offers a wide range of legal services such as commercial/civil law, administrative/regulatory and white-collar crime cases.
The firm is a team of attorneys. Presently, our five attorneys are registered at the Kosovo Chamber of Attorneys and five junior attorneys. The firm has quality assurance mechanisms in place.
We offer services in a broader spectrum of practice areas in Kosovo such as commercial and civil, public and administrative.
We advise and litigate at all levels of courts and public agencies in Kosovo including international arbitration. We have a growing active case file in all courts.

Our Partners and Associates

Kujtim Kërveshi is our Managing Partner - an Attorney who specializes in civil law, civil procedural law, commercial law, investment law and arbitration/mediation. Mr. Kërveshi is a former member of the Kosovo Prosecutors Council and vice-president of the Kosovo Prosecutors Council Disciplinary Panel. He has worked with several USAID programs in Kosovo in establishing the Alternative Dispute Resolution system in the country (arbitration and mediation), training mediators and arbitrators. He has provided substantial contributions in establishing the American Chamber of Commerce's ADR Center as well as the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce's Permanent Arbitration Tribunal and private enforcement system as well. Prior to these assignments, Mr. Kërveshi served as the Principal Legal Adviser to the Kosovo Minister of Justice and worked on several international programs. Mr. Kërveshi has served as the Deputy Chief in the Prime Minister's Office of Legal Support Services. In 2005 he provided substantial support in establishing the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Interior, Kosovo Judicial and Prosecutorial Council, by leading the Kosovo team in developing the terms of the references for these institutions. Mr. Kërveshi is one of Kosovo's leading attorneys currently litigating some of the most complex cases in the country. He is an experienced commercial arbitrator and mediator, and has attended several trainings at the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. Mr. Kërveshi has over 12 years of experience lecturing at universities in civil contested procedures, arbitration, private international law and international transactions.

Mr. Spahija is a licensed attorney, one of the youngest attorneys in Kosovo. He was previously a member of one of the leading law firms in Kosovo, Judex founded by Mr. Kerveshi from 2017 to 2019. When the founding members of Judex disbanded, Mr. Spahija continued working with Kerveshi & Partners as a junior associate.Then he moved to the position of associate and finally, as of January 2020, he has been promoted to an attorney position within the firm. Before commencing his work at law firms, Mr. Spahija was an intern at the Ministry of Justice, the department for state attorneys. Mr. Spahija is fluent in Albanian and English, and has basic knowledge of the German language.

Mr. Kadri Mjekiqi is an experienced attorney in public, criminal and privatization law. He is an attorney at law. Before joining our firm, he worked at the Norwegian Refugee Council as Head of Civil Rights Project — Prishtina Office, working on the Civil Rights Project on the priorities of public advocacy for the legal plight of refugees, returnees, internally displaced persons and minorities. He worked at the Kosovo Trust Agency for almost a decade, worked as Enterprise Development Team Leader Liquidation at the Privatization and Liquidation regional office. He has extensive experience with claims related to Socially Owned Enterprises, liquidation process and privatization. He has also worked with the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo as a Legal Advisor assisting international prosecutors in investigative, trial and appellate proceedings. He has extensive experience in litigation and trials. Mr. Mjekiqi is fluent in Albanian, Serbian and English.

Mr. Lokaj graduated from the University of Prishtina, School of Law in 2014 and finished his master’s degree in criminal law in 2020. In 2017, he finished a one-year practice at the Office of the Disciplinary Counsel. Armend joined our firm in September 2020 as a junior attorney, and since December 2020 he is a licensed attorney. Before joining our firm, he worked at the Basic Court of Pristina as a Professional Associate, as a part of the USAID – Justice Strengthening Program. Mr. Lokaj is fluent in both Albanian and German and has basic knowledge of the English language.

Ms. Sope is an associate at Kerveshi & Partners Law Firm. She joined our firm in March 2019 as a junior associate. In March 2020, she was promoted to associate attorney in the firm. Before joining our office, she was a Legal Intern at the Kosovo Judicial Council and a former legal intern at the Basic Court of Prishtina- USAID Justice System Strengthening Program. She has also worked as an intern at Checchi and Company Consulting, Inc, USAID Project Contract Law Enforcement. She also has experience with journalism and international institutions (such as UNICEF) and working with statistics at the Kosovo Agency of Statistics and Index Kosova. Ms. Sope graduated in law from the University of Prishtina, Faculty of Law in July 2018 and was honored as a distinguished student of the Law School. Presently she is completing her Master of Laws program on Civil and Property Rights at University of Prishtina. Ms. Sope is fluent in Albanian and English.

Ms. Shabanaj is graduated from the University of Prishtina School of Law in September 2018. Ms. Shabanaj joined our firm in September 2020. Before joining our firm, she was legal intern at the Court of Appeals, and a former intern in a Public Notary Office. She was also legal intern at Ministry of Justice, Department of State Advocacy. Ms. Shabanaj is fluent in both Albanian and English and has basic knowledge of the German language.

Ms. Lokaj is one of the promising lawyers. She worked previously for one of the leading law firms in Kosovo, Judex founded by Mr. Kerveshi from 2016 to 2019 as a junior associate. When the founding members of Judex disbanded, Ms.Tokaj continued working with Kerveshi & Partners as a junior associate, then moved to the position of associate. Before joining our teams, she also served as a Junior Attorney at the Contract Law Enforcement (USAID) Program, Mediation Department. Ms. Tokaj is a Law Graduate from the University of Prishtina, Faculty of Law. She was a participant in the International Commercial Mediation Competition in Paris twice, once as a student, once as a co-coach. She has also participated in an Arbitration Moot competition in Warsaw. She is one of the leading young brains of commercial mediation in Kosovo since 2013. She is fluent in Albanian and English.

Mr. Murturi is an associate at Kerveshi & Partners Law Firm. He joined our firm in March 2019 as a junior associate. In March 2020, he was promoted to associate counsel in the firm. Before joining our firm, Mr. Murturi worked at the Ministry for Environment and Spatial Planning of Kosovo as a legal adviser. Mr. Murturi has an outstanding record of student activities while he has also represented law school students at the Students’ Council. He has lived and worked in Germany as well. Mr. Murturi also worked as a real estate agent in a private real estate agency as well as for a private enforcement agent. Presently he is completing a Master of Laws program on Civil and Property Rights at the University of Prishtina. Mr. Murturi is fluent in Albanian, English and German.
