Ranko Đokić received his legal education at the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb in 1987. In 1988 he passed the bar exam.

He started his career as a judicial trainee (later associate) at the Municipal Court in Pula. In 1990 he was sworn in as an attorney at the Croatian Bar Association. In his lengthy career he has been successfully representing national and international entities in a wide spectrum of civil and administrative procedures, whilst demonstrating a particular interest and knowledge in the field of property and contractual law.
