Lembaga Bantuan Hukum (LBH) Medan, established on January 28, 1978, is the oldest legal aid organization outside Java, operating under the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI). With its main office in Medan and two branch offices in Asahan and Labuhan Batu, LBH Medan is dedicated to providing free legal assistance to impoverished and marginalized communities in North Sumatra.
LBH Medan's mission encompasses structural legal aid, human rights advocacy, and the promotion of democracy.
