Enduring Guardians
If you want certainty about who can make decisions relating to your health, medical treatment, aged care and/or end of life decisions then you need to appoint an Enduring Guardian. If you do not appoint an Attorney or a Guardian while you have capacity, then the Guardianship & Administration Board may appoint an administrator such as the Public Trustee rather than a family member.

Wills
A Will ensures that your assets are left to the beneficiaries or charities that you wish. Without a Will the Intestacy Act determines where your assets go and in what proportions. Your willable estate is made up of assets such as property, bank accounts, shares, etc. Usually, superannuation does not form part of your estate and therefore it is important to obtain advice about the difference between a binding or non-binding death benefit nomination.
