Alan Bulnes is a talented personal injury litigator at Mickey Keenan, P.A. and was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. After graduating from Jefferson High School, Alan attended Florida State University, where he graduated, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. After graduation, he attended and graduated from Stetson University College of Law, one of the best in the country in trial advocacy. As a Tampa native, Alan is an avid supporter of all things Tampa Bay.
Prior to joining the firm, Alan was a criminal defense attorney with the Pinellas County Public Defender’s office, wherein he handled a wide range cases from misdemeanors to felonies and was first or second chair counsel in over twenty five jury trials. While in law school, Alan was certified by the Florida Supreme Court to participate in trials for the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office, where he participated in the prosecution of four non-jury trials in the Juvenile Division.
After gaining invaluable experience in criminal litigation, Alan then switched over to civil litigation. He began defending insurance companies and corporations, as well as individuals, from a variety of tort and contract claims. Further, Alan defended physicians accused of medical malpractice and also represented companies and individuals involved in real estate malpractice claims. While working on the defense side, he also participated in multiple trials as either first or second chair counsel.

In 1994, Mickey, a native New Yorker, enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves and relocated to Tampa, Florida to attend college. Prior to the start of school, Mickey deployed to Haiti for Operation Uphold Democracy. Upon his return, he began studies at Hillsborough Community College, then the University of South Florida (USF). After graduating USF, Mickey started law school at the Levin College of Law, University of Florida. In 2003, while in the final semester of Law School, Mickey was once again called to service with the Army, deploying this time to the Middle East for duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom This final deployment redefined Mickey’s life and legal career.
Mickey returned from his service in the Middle East and began his legal career practicing insurance defense work, first as an Associate, at Gallagher & Howard, then as a Partner in Gallagher & Keenan. With this line of work, something was missing, he felt the need to give back, to help others.

Born in Washington, D.C., Ted grew up in Columbus, Ohio, before moving to Florida in high school. He graduated from Tampa Catholic and earned his degree in Political Science from the University of South Florida, graduating magna cum laude. Initially, he planned to work in politics. However, coming from a family of attorneys, he realized he could make a greater impact in the legal field. He later attended Stetson University College of Law, where he served as an Editor on the Stetson Law Review and worked as a Teaching Fellow for the Research and Writing Department. During law school, he discovered a passion for trial advocacy, which set the foundation for his litigation career.
For much of his career, Ted worked at a large defense firm, where he rose to the position of Shareholder. He handled high-stakes cases involving wrongful death, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury claims. As both first-chair and second-chair trial counsel, he successfully tried numerous cases to verdict.
