BIOGRAPHY

Me Miriam Mazou is a lawyer specializing in criminal law. She is particularly specialized in economic criminal law. His expertise extends to banking and financial law and mutual legal assistance in criminal matters.

 

Me Miriam Mazou has practiced the bar since 2004, in the cantons of Vaud and Geneva as well as before the federal authorities mainly, but also occasionally in the cantons of Valais, Friborg and Neuchâtel.

Regularly cited by the courts, in particular by the Swiss Federal Court and by the Federal Criminal Court, Me Miriam Mazou is the author of numerous publications in specialized books and journals. In particular, she is co-editor of the Short Commentary on the Penal Code, a reference work intended for legal specialists.

Me Miriam Mazou was also a lecturer at the University of Lausanne (UNIL). She frequently provides training and conferences for practitioners.

 

Me Miriam Mazou has a solid experience in criminal strategy, criminal negotiation, and legal representation. She also regularly writes legal opinions for communities and individuals. She acts both as sole counsel and in collaboration with other lawyers, whether as leading counsel or as a member of a team.

 

Miriam Mazou is a member of the Swiss Bar Association (FSA), the Vaud Bar Association (OAV), the Swiss Society for Criminal Law (SSDP), the Women's White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA – Swiss chapter), of the Business Law Center (CEDIDAC) of which she is also a member of the Foundation Board, of the Geneva Business Law Association (AGDA), of the Swiss Sports Law Association (ASDS) and of the European Criminal Bar Association (ECBA).
