
Established in June 2012, Nyakutombwa Legal Counsel “NLC” is a full-service law firm based in Harare, Zimbabwe but servicing global clientele. The firm owes its beginnings to exposure to the need for fast paced, dynamic legal counsel in a fast-paced dynamic environment. The traditional law firm was seen as a lethargic and rigid establishment that failed to timeously and adequately service client needs and therefore a robust and attuned firm was established to meet this need.

- Pre-incorporation formalities, due diligence enquiries including but not limited to name searches, background researches on likely corporate partners or entities.
- Incorporation of all legally recognized corporate entities including but not limited to companies, partnerships, voluntary associations, charitable and other trusts, private voluntary organizations, trade unions, private business corporations, co-operatives, collective investment schemes and financial institutions.
- Transactional support and corporate legal advisory services including but not limited to drafting and reviewing of all legal documents.
- Under our Corporate Counsel we also serve prospective investors both local and foreign, in advisory and decision making in relation to their investments. Specifically, in the mining sector NLC will conduct preliminary research, due diligence research and confirmation of authenticity of mining claims, rights and attendant documents to aid in the decision- making process.
Intellectual Property
This is the intellectual property law practice of NLC. Here, local and foreign clients' intellectual property rights are protected through registration; monitored in relevant periodicals and, where the need arises, enforced according to law before the Intellectual Property Tribunal of Zimbabwe established according to law to deal with cases of infringement of intellectual property rights.
At our law firm the securities attorneys understand that there is a difference between simply assisting a client with drafting offering and disclosure documents and helping to guide the business owners and other key individuals.
Real Estate
The Property Counsel guides prospective buyers and sellers especially of immovable property. NLC will assist from preliminary property research and confirmation of authenticity of documents right through to drafting all necessary legal documents and agreements to facilitate the sale and transfer. NLC will also advise buyers and sellers of movable property including drafting of any necessary legal documents.
NLC can provide property management services including preparing leases and tenant management for both individuals and corporate clients.
