Promo-LEX

Promo-LEX Association is a nationwide, non-governmental, apolitical and non-profit organization based in the Republic of Moldova, focused on advancing democracy and protecting human rights, including in the Transnistrian region. It operates through two functional programs, addressing human rights priorities and democratic processes and institutions.

Across its Human Rights Program and Institutions and Democratic Processes Program, Promo-LEX uses a mix of free legal assistance, strategic litigation, monitoring and reporting, and thematic research and training. The organization also publishes reports and analysis and engages in national and international advocacy aimed at improving the implementation of international human rights standards and strengthening democratic confidence.

Promo-LEX emphasizes client-centered service delivery through interventions such as supporting access to justice and effective remedies for residents of the Transnistrian region, combating torture and inhuman or degrading treatment, and promoting liberty and security. For democratic processes, it supports elections through structured monitoring and participation in international election observation missions, including approaches such as long-term observation and on E-Day observation.
