DECADES OF EXPERIENCE
Founded in 1994 by a group of experienced litigators, our firm has grown into a well-respected regional practice with expertise in multiple areas of law. Our lawyers work as a team, using their combined education, professional experience and practical knowledge to develop creative solutions to meet our clients' needs. We strive to solve problems without “going to court” but when going to court is the only option, our lawyers have the experience and knowhow necessary to do the job.
PERSONAL SERVICE & CLEAR COMMUNICATION
We believe our clients are entitled to an honest, straightforward assessment of their situation and thoughtful, professional recommendations. We tell our clients what they need to hear, not necessarily what they want to hear. Our philosophy is that representation works best when there is clear communication between attorney and client, and we strive to maintain that.
COMPLETE REPRESENTATION FROM CONSULTATION TO APPEALS
We diligently represent our clients' best interests in all types of disputes up to and including trials and appeals. We also advise clients in preventative and cost-effective alternatives to litigation. When a client comes to us for advise, we thoroughly review the case and advise on the best legal option available to address the circumstances presented.

Is a partner or co-owner leaving your company? Do you believe it’s time to pass the business reigns on to the “next generation”, whether that be the employees, family or new ownership? Did you decide to sell your business? Do you need to shut down your business for financial or other reasons? We can help. We draft and review purchase and sale agreements, prepare succession plans, advise on matters of transferring assets and ownership, and assist with other necessary legal matters.
DEBT COLLECTION SERVICES
RMED understands that in order to operate, small businesses and other creditors depend on receiving payments from their clients, vendees and business affiliates. That is why we fight hard to ensure our clients receive what is owed to them. Our creditor representation lawyers can:

Write collection letters demanding payment
Prosecute claims and obtain judgments against debtors
Record liens against debtor's property

Lawsuits & Disputes
CIVIL LITIGATION
At Ramsden, Marfice, Ealy & De Smet, civil litigation is part of our DNA. All of our attorneys have real-life experience in the courtroom including, collectively, hundreds of trials and thousands of hearings in both state and federal courts. Litigation is rarely the first option, but it is sometimes the only option. Despite the best intentions, efforts, and good faith, legal disputes that need to be resolved through the courts are sometimes unavoidable. When a litigation is necessary, we have the resources and the experience to help.
We work hard to avoid or resolve litigation through structured negotiations or alternative dispute resolutions, such as mediation or arbitration. However, when the dispute cannot be resolved, we have the knowledge and confidence necessary to effectively represent our clients in litigation.
Throughout Idaho and Washington, we have litigated cases in, virtually all of our practice areas, including professional malpractice, personal injury, property damage, real estate, contract law, construction law, condemnation, business disputes, product liability claims, and all manner of insurance defense cases. The civil litigation attorneys at RMED are prepared to protect our clients' interests with skilled advocacy and strong trial skills.
