Avery Day is former Chief Legal Counsel to the Governor, and has served as Acting Commissioner of the Maine Department of Environmental Protection as well as in roles with Senator Susan Collins and at Maine’s largest law firm with its litigation and environmental practice groups. He is a graduate of George Washington University and Harvard Law School.
Our firm handles cases through the State of Maine and the Northeast United States. Avery is a member of the Maine and Massachusetts Bar Associations and Dan has practiced in all the State and Federal Courts in Maine as well as the First Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston.

Dan and Avery are both experienced in representing buyers or sellers (or their agents) in the purchase or sale of goods or services, as well as in disputes involving prior purchases.
With regard to real estate disputes, we have represented clients in cases ranging from breach of contract and misrepresentation claims to those involving timber trespass and right-of-way disputes.
In addition, having personally purchased and sold over 25 residential and commercial properties, Dan has significant significant personal and practical experience with these issues.
