
Mousa Algunaidi

Mousa Algunaidi is a distinguished legal scholar and human rights advocate, deeply committed to justice and legal education. Starting his career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Misurata’s Faculty of Law in 2011, he later became a Lecturer and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Legal Research Journal. His involvement in human rights initiatives, such as the National Project to Support Victims of Torture and leading Nidaa Organization for Human Rights and Community Development, highlights his dedication to advancing human rights in Libya. Mousa has also contributed to legal reform by participating in the drafting of legislation for the National Council for Public Freedoms and Human Rights.
Beyond academia, Mousa has made significant contributions through his public engagements and publications. He has authored works on international human rights law and transitional justice and has been actively involved in training programs on international humanitarian law and the protection of journalists. Mousa's volunteer work, including election monitoring and educating the public on human rights, reflects his commitment to societal progress and the promotion of legal standards in Libya.
