• Representing a former Taiwan listed company for global assets recovery in Hong Kong, Singapore and BVI for a total amount of around HK$2 billion.
• Acting for a well-known listed company in Hong Kong for in a dispute of sale and purchase of land situated in the PRC at the consideration of RMB180 million.
• Representing a worldwide registered patent holder for a new drug of estimated future revenue of about US$1.2 billion in the disputes in the interests of the patent and successfully defending the claim for client.
• Representing a leading manufacturer and supplier of Sodium Cyanide in Anhui, PRC, to claim for damages for breach of contract for US$2 million and to defend the Counterclaim for over US$1.35 million. Successfully assisted client in reaching an amicable settlement through mediation.
• Advising a Hong Kong listed company for its compliance requirements including anti-money laundering and anti-corruption requirements, and cross-border contract and employment disputes.
• Acting for a Bank to successfully obtain a Mareva Injunction (i.e. freezing order) against various debtors who intended to dispose of their movable and immovable assets to evade enforcement of the banking facility advanced to their business.
• Representing one of the vendors to an agreement for transfer of shares of a limited Hong Kong company (which owned a land development project in Beijing) for consideration of around RMB 85 million for recovery of balance of considerations in the Arbitration in the HKIAC.
• Acting for a PRC trading company in the recovery of a payment procured by credit fraud in the region of USD 4.5 million in the liquidation of the fraudulent corporate vehicle.
• Acting for a BVI asset holding company in its application to discharge or vary the Mareva Injunction in aid of execution of an overseas judgment.
• Representing clients in a high-profile probate litigation opposing the pronouncement of an alleged Will in solemn form on the grounds of lack of testamentary capacity and undue influence, involving the appointment of administrators to administer assets of the Estate with assets worth over HK$ 40 million.
• Acting for a high net worth individual in a matrimonial dispute concerning assets across multiple jurisdictions, including Hong Kong, PRC, Macau, Malaysia and Canada.

• Acting as general counsel and legal adviser to a PRC-based corporation, engaged in the e-commerce industry and listed on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange on a wide range of legal issues and matters.
• Acting for Buyer to acquire the shares in a HK company which holds SFC regulated licenses and assisting/facilitating client to obtain approval from the SFC for the transfer.
• Acting for a GEM Board Listed Company to establish a Joint Venture company with a supplier/manufacturer to conduct distribution services.
• Acting for an English-based company in respect of share acquisition transactions involving companies in HK, UK and the PRC.
• Advising a distributor for a top luxury motor vehicle and car brand in the acquisition and financing of a group of companies.
• Acting for a leading and well established company in the watches and timepiece industry to review their supply agreements for the supply of their products in Asia.
• Advising Hong Kong Main Board Listed Company on employment issues and preparing the requisite employment contracts and related documents.
• Acting for one of the pioneers of integrated system automation solutions to the local travel industry to obtain the exclusive distributorship rights in respect of a global distribution system in Hong Kong.
• Advising an international oil trading company for the acquisition of an industrial building in a deal worth HK$150 million.

Our team has solid and strong experience in a variety of insurance-related and personal injuries matters.  We work closely with local and international insurers, insurance intermediaries, insurance professionals and various regulatory bodies. 

For contentious matters, our insurance litigation team represents insurer clients, clients who are insured as well as local and international companies in defending various claims and legal actions or proceedings of all types, including statutory or compulsory insurance, general insurance claims and also life insurance claims.  We also issue legal proceedings on behalf of our insurer clients and their insureds to take recovery actions against third parties. We review insurance policies and render legal advice on policy coverage, policy terms and conditions.

For non-contentious matters, we work closely with local and international insurers, insurance intermediaries and other local and global companies in the commercial sector. We draft, review and comment insurance contracts, insurance products, policies as well as other related documents. We also advise on insurance issues, regulatory matters and insolvency issues under Hong Kong law.
