As lawyers, Maaike de Vries, Marcel Schreijer and Julia Verschoor focus on two areas of law. They have registered the following main (and sub) legal areas in the register of legal areas of the Netherlands Bar :
This registration obliges these lawyers of VYVRE to obtain a fixed number of training points in each registered legal area every calendar year in accordance with the standards of the NOvA.
VYVRE has taken out professional liability insurance. Any liability is limited to the amount paid out by the liability insurance company in the relevant case, plus the deductible applicable under the policy. If no payment is made, liability is limited to the amount charged by VYVRE in the relevant file and paid by the client, with a maximum of € 10,000 at VYVRE Letselschade Advocatuur and € 1,000.00 for clients of VYVRE Letselschade Advocaten BV, who entered into an assignment agreement after 1 February 2021. The entire limitation is included in Article 6 of the General Terms and Conditions .
VYVRE does not have a escrow account. VYVRE does not receive third-party funds within the meaning of the Regulation on the legal profession. If VYVRE is nevertheless confronted with third-party funds, VYVRE will ensure that the funds are either transferred directly to the rightful claimant in accordance with Article 6.19, first paragraph, of the Regulation on the legal profession, or that VYVRE still joins a third-party funds foundation (and the funds are transferred via run this foundation). All rules on third-party funds then apply.
In the unlikely event that you, as a customer, find that the service has not been satisfactory, please contact Maaike de Vries on 0681347812 or send an e-mail to [email protected]. It will inform you within four weeks of receipt of the complaint in writing or by e-mail, stating reasons, of its opinion on the merits of the complaint. If this term is deviated from, you will be notified, stating reasons, in which Maaike de Vries will also indicate the term within which an opinion will be given on the merits of the complaint. As a complainant you will be given the opportunity to provide an explanation of the complaint. You do not owe any compensation for the costs of handling the complaint.
If necessary, you can go to the civil court of the District Court of the Northern Netherlands if you cannot solve a problem with VYVRE / Maaike de Vries. VYVRE is not affiliated with the Disputes Committee for the Legal Profession or any other extrajudicial disputes committee.
