This firm was established in February, 1995 and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja as a firm of Barristers and Solicitors. The Principal Counsel, Prof Wahab Egbewole SAN established the firm after 10 years experience with the firm of Femi Ibitoye & Co and the Kwara State Ministry of Justice, Ilorin, having been called to the Bar in 1985.
The Chambers handled a number of cases ranging from election petitions, mortgages, issues of corporate governance
civil and criminal litigations, perfection of documents, matrimonial causes, Chieftaincy, land matters to mention a few. It is important to stress that the firm has been retained and/or acted at various times as Solicitors to the First Bank PLC, Union Bank PLC, defunct Trade Bank PLC, Kwara State House of Assembly, Osun State House of Assembly, Ifelodun Local Government Area, Kwara Investment and Property Development Company Ltd, Policy Analysis and Research Project, Abuja, His Excellency the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency the Governor of Osun State and Distinguished Senator Gbemishola Saraki to mention but a few. The firm also worked for the Governors of Kwara State and Zamfara State in the defence of their electoral victories at the 2011 elections.
Presently, the firm consists of the Principal Counsel, 3 Associates, 4 Counsel in Chambers, one Research Assistant, One Secretary, One Librarian, Two Clerical Assistants and a Driver.

Dispute is an inevitable outcome of interactions among different individuals and litigation has since been one of the well-established and proven ways of resolving disputes right from time immemorial up till the present time. Litigation has however been shown to be disadvantageous for many reasons. For instance, cost of litigation can be so high; an atmosphere of enmity is often created after litigation; litigation takes a whole lot of time to complete; the Nigerian courts are often over-worked; among several other reasons.
It is as a result of the above challenges of litigation that we at Wahab Egbewole and Co, in addition to litigation, embrace alternative dispute resolutions particularly arbitration as one of the ways of resolving our clients' disputes.
