History
Although the name Wools Bloemen van Schaijk Advocaten has only existed since November 1, 2018, the office has a long history that dates back to 1990.
Wools Bloemen van Schaijk Advocaten was created by merging the offices of Slot Jacobs & Bloemen Advocaten in Nijmegen and Litjens Wools Advocaten in Elst. As of November 1, 2018, the office has a branch in Nijmegen as well as in Elst. This new collaboration will give the office more extensive expertise and improved effectiveness. In addition, the office becomes more future-proof. The two branches also offer clients more opportunities to visit our office.
Slot & Jacobs started in 1990 as tax and business advisors. In 1993, in addition to providing advice to individuals and companies, they expanded to legal representation by joining the legal profession in order to complement the services. In 2002 Irene Bloemen was recruited as a lawyer to support the growing civil law advice and litigation practice. In 2014, Slot Jacobs & Bloemen Advocaten crossed the road to our current building at Oranjesingel 75.
Wim Litjens and Koen Wools both worked at a law firm in Nijmegen and Elst. On 1 November 2010 they started together at the current location in Elst Litjens & Wools Advocaten. In 2013, Martine van Schaijk, who until then worked as a lawyer at an office in Arnhem, joined Litjens & Wools Advocaten. With this, the practice was expanded to include divorce law and law of persons and family law.

Labor law
Labor law concerns the relationship between employer and employee. Labor disputes often have a major impact on both employer and employee. It is important to resolve these as soon as possible. However, we are not only there to solve problems, but also to prevent them. That is why we are happy to provide clear legal advice at an early stage. We think along with you when entering into and drawing up contracts such as an employment contract, when building a file, etc. We also like to think along with you in the event of an impending labor conflict and we offer you tools to prevent it from escalating. Legal assistance and second opinion
The costs of legal assistance, including those of the lawyer of your choice, can be reimbursed by the legal expenses insurer if you are a party to legal proceedings. You then have a free choice of lawyer. We can therefore also assist you in these procedures. If you would like to know more about this, please call or email us.
You can also ask one of our lawyers for a second opinion if you are unsure about how your case will be handled, for example by a legal expenses insurer. We assess the file on the basis of the available documents and can provide you with our assessment of the case, risks and opportunities independently and with a fresh perspective. Depending on your insurance, the costs of the second opinion will be reimbursed by the insurer.

Or your home suddenly shows hidden defects.
