In 2011, Mark Taylor, an American citizen, experienced difficulties in finding a lawyer who could help him immigrate to Ukraine, take care of the onerous paperwork and clearly explain how the country’s migration system worked. After meeting Petro Zalizniak, then a recent graduate from Migration Clinical Program in Italy, he helped create Zalizniak & Associates, a firm specialized in Ukraine immigration.
At Zalizniak & Associates, we find our strength in the combined years of studies and hard work which helped to deliver consistent and tangible results for our clients. I have used Zalizniak & Associates for a couple years now to assist colleagues in UA who needed various immigration and marriage/family-related documents and assistance within UA, as well as throughout the EU if settling there from UA. Petro and Pavlo and his colleagues and employees are simply excellent at their jobs, and go above and beyond, instilling the personal touch with their clients to ensure their immigration-related transitions are as smooth as possible. They go beyond just simply drafting documents but also focus on the personal complications and issues, can get things done faster than the normal processing times, rarely take "no" for an answer from the powers that be in the government, and ensure clear, transparent, and honest communication with clients. Their fees are reasonable, and they also assist with more than just legal work but use their vast contact network within and outside UA to help immigrants live as productively as possible in their new environments. I cannot recommend Zalizniak & Associates highly enough for their excellent service and guidance. As someone fascinated by Ukrainian culture and a strong supporter of Ukraine, I decided to relocate there as the next chapter of my life. What I did not anticipate was being locked in an administrative stalemate. The VFS appointment booking portal was impressively uncooperative, and the surrounding bureaucracy was unlike anything I had experienced before. In short, the process was character-building. Top-notch experience; I just got my residence permit for my 7th year living in Ukraine. The Zalizniak brothers provide a friendly, professional, and comprehensive service for any foreigners who wish to live, work, marry, or conduct business in Ukraine. Petro, Pavlo and the others came through for me during an extremely difficult time during which my visa-free time in Ukraine had expired. I was afraid I may be deported and separated from my fiance (now my wife) who was a Ukrainian citizen. I needed to do very, very little. Zalizniak and Associates took care of everything. Within a few months, I had my temporary residence, which they've helped me renew every year since with ease. Beyond that, Petro has been an indispensible resource with any and all questions related to navigating life as an immigrant in Ukraine.
