If you have investments in China, work in China, or conduct business with Chinese partners, you'll likely need to consult with Chinese lawyers periodically. We provide all commercial Business/ligation requirements for foreign or Chinese clients inside and outside of China.

As of March 2018, there are about 30,000 Chinese law firms, 365,000 Chinese lawyers, and 200 representative offices of foreign law firms. However, only a small number can offer professional, bilingual, and affordable legal services. Here are some effective tips to help you find a lawyer that meets your expectations

Foreign lawyers are generally not permitted to practice PRC law in China. Therefore, for PRC legal issues, foreign law firms must collaborate with or refer you to PRC lawyers, incurring additional expenses. To avoid these unnecessary costs, it's best to look for a PRC lawyer directly.

Large multinational law firms, whether based in China or abroad, typically offer excellent skills and management but charge high hourly rates. Conversely, many local Chinese law firms lack the foreign language skills and experience needed to serve international clients effectively. Therefore, it's beneficial to choose Chinese lawyers who are proficient in English and have a background in working with foreign clients, along with strong project management and customer service skills.
