How do I send a valid lawyer’s demand letter in China before suing a supplier for late delivery?

I paid a deposit to a supplier in China, and they keep delaying delivery without a clear date. I want to pressure them to perform or refund, but I also want the letter to be usable evidence if I file a case later. What should the demand letter include and how should it be served?

In China, sending a lawyer's letter to a delayed supplier is a crucial step before legal proceedings can be initiated. Although it is not a necessary pre procedure for litigation, a properly written lawyer's letter can effectively break the statute of limitations, fix the evidence of default, and may facilitate the other party to perform its obligations or reach a settlement at a lower cost.

You shall be prepared to litigate at any time before sending a letter. Once the other party neither performs its obligations, nor actively negotiates,  you should be able to promptly entrust a lawyer to bring a valid lawsuit for breach of contract within the legal time limit (usually within one month after receiving the written reminder from the other party), so as to avoid falling into a passive position
