I lost a civil case and the court gave me a deadline to file an appeal, but I was hospitalized and couldn’t act in time. I have medical proof and I want to know if the court can accept a late appeal and what steps to take.

Under the DRC Code of Civil Procedure (Decree of March 7, 1960), general appeal deadline: 30 days from the date of service of the judgment. This deadline applies to civil judgments rendered by tribunals and courts in DRC. You have missed the opportunity to appeal and the medical proof cannot help. Thanks
